To purchase more basic mana, you must spend 2 colourless mana (this means any type of mana can be used to purchase it).

Once purchased, they go to your discard pile. When you wish to purchase new cards, you must spend mana equal to the mana cost on the card. On the top of every card, there is a cost. When you start your turn, any cards that were left in the 'FORT' zone are sent to your discard pile before you play any cards from your hand. Everyone starts the game with 20 HP, use either paper or a 20 sided die to track your HP. From the main deck, draw 9 cards and place them around the main deck in easy reach of everyone. Everyone shuffles their deck and places them to the side. If you have spare piles, place them within reach of the other players. If your the forest player, the 20 forest basic mana sit in front of you. Place the left over basic mana piles in front of the players that chose them. Everyone picks one mana type and takes the 7 starter cards and 7 basic mana for the type they picked. Shuffle the 240 spell cards together and place them in the centre of the table. Game components should be 27 of each basic mana card, 35 basic summon spells (15 walls and 20 creatures), 240 spell cards for the main deck (40 of each mana type and 40 colourless artifact). Now get 5 lots of 27 of each basic mana type and keep them separate. You may include dual colour, but for the purposes of learning the DBG, I recommend not worrying too much about them, just use single colours. Their costs should not exceed anything further than 5, but if you wish to include cards that cost 7 at the most but they will be harder to acquire. Now get 6 lots of 40 spells for each type (forest, plains, mountain, island, swamp and colourless artifacts). Repeat the process for the other 4 sets of cards.

On the other 3 write 0/2 defender and starter.

On the group of 4 write on them 1/1, starter and write the following on their respective card as well Forest – Elf, Plains – Human, Island – Merfolk, Mountain – Goblin, Swamp – Zombie. Take one lot of 7 mana cards, separate them into one group of 3 and one group of 4. Take 7 basic mana cards of each type (forest, swamp, mountain, plains, island).
